At Hearts & Hooves Haven, we believe our nation’s heroes deserve a space to rest, reconnect, and breathe. The Heroes & Hooves Program was created as a free community offering for veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families who may benefit from time spent in nature with gentle, rescued farm animals.
Our sanctuary is quiet, calm, and healing—a place where you don’t need to explain anything or meet any expectations. You are simply welcome.
What the Program Offers
The Heroes & Hooves Program provides a peaceful environment where Heroes can:
Spend time brushing, feeding, or simply sitting with animals who have overcome their own hardships. Many veterans find comfort and grounding through these quiet, non-judgmental connections.
Enjoy a Calm, Outdoor Setting
Surrounded by rolling hills, fresh air, and the sounds of nature, the sanctuary offers a break from stress, noise, and the demands of daily life.
Bring Support
Our Heroes are welcome to bring loved ones to share the experience. Many veterans enjoy watching their children or grandchildren interact with the animals.
Zero Cost, No Pressure
This program is 100% free.
There is no schedule you must follow, no requirements, and no expectations—just a peaceful place to be.
